The scope of this subject is quite vast and goes beyond the area of cooking, home decoration and needlework. To get well versed with the surrounding environment the students are introduced to Ecology & Environment subject to understand how our actions affect the environment. It shows the individuals the extent of damage we cause to the environment. Human Anatomy and Physiology which is taught through “Applied Physiology”, provides a thorough understanding of normal body function, enabling more effective treatment of abnormal or disease states. In continuation after applied Physiology students are exposed to public health is an interdisciplinary field. Environmental health, community health, behavioural health, health economics, public policy, mental health, health education, occupational safety, disability, gender issues in health, and sexual and reproductive health through Subjects “Public Health Epidemiology” and “Health & Hygiene” deals with Virology, Bacteriology and Parasitology.
In Home Science all Subjects are compulsory and hence biology is a compulsory subject and has following papers in all six semesters.
