About Department

Department of Physics of Home science faculty covers various topics like Heat, Electricity, Magnetism and Conversion of energies from one form to another form, which are used in various types of home appliances along with the study of the basic knowledge of computer and its application in subject. The students are regularly oriented by the faculty. The Department regularly organises group discussions, seminars and competitions related to physics subject for the latest updates in the subject. Apart from traditional method of board teaching, modem ICT enabled methods using the Power Point presentations and audio-video educative material are accessed from the internet and utilized by the faculty members. Students are also encouraged to develop presentations using these resources.

Our Aim

The department aims to educate the generation with the basic concepts and law of physics to stimulate an interest in them and make them job competent.

Objective

• To prepare students for university examination, competitive examination, and for allied branches of physics
• Well-equipped laboratory with computer and internet facilities.
• Students are well acquainted with the subject by organizing study tours and exploring new developments in the Physics.
